It’s aug 9, 2025. The days are hot, over 100 degrees, the dusk is earlier at 8:30, How does time slip through the cosmic cracks so easily. Two years of change. A knee surgery, vision problems and no driving. Sue, was diagnosed with Parkinsons and broke her shoulder which isn’t healing as nice as hoped. One and a half years out, and it still hurts to eat.

I hadn’t even thought of this site, till I kept getting letters from namecheap that renewals were due, and that the site had a critical error and couldn’t be accessed. Turns out “simplegooglephotogrid had some how caused the problem. I disabled it and truied tod delete it but think the deletion was not successful. At any rate I can access the site but need to do a bunch of updates, php in particular. I don’t know where to begin! So I might as well just start with our recent “Art to your walls ” project.

It’s February 2024. I have done nothing for a couple of years. Well, not true, but nothing on this blog/site.

Today’s goal is simple. Just put in a new post and use it for remembering how to make posts, do some updating and just get refamiliarized with Word Press and the Vantage theme..

Yesterday I managed to get the security certificate updated, though I don’t know whether I have a five year plan or an uopdated one year. It was totally ciofusing and I ended up using the chat to get it done.

Some things I want to work on:

1. Install the current timeline. It is now in scrivener format, after experimenting with access and a spreadsheet approach. I can now print it, and install it as a readable, searchable pdf.
2. I want to upload copies of all the finished dear ash stories.
3. A gallery for sue, organized into black and white, sketches, abstract and other.
4. A gallery for Jim- Jaz jots, glass work, sketches.
5. Possibly a blog discussing creating a smart home.
6. Curated photos of our travels 0 oriented to traveling simply and lightly
7. Curated photos of family
8. curated sets of photos to be used as screen savers
9. Curated photos of our house building.

This will be a test of including a google folder using the simple google photos grid

This is a block. how do I add a widget. Widgets go into spaces like the sidebar, header, footer. I put a widget in the sidebar and it does display a shared album, and when clicked it takesyou to the album.
